Sunny

Sunny - The Next Big Thing

(Sunny Glottmann)

Description:

Singer/Songwriter
Local: Jersey City, NJ

Born and raised in South Florida...Sunny early showed a passion and appreciation for singing...whether it be old standards like "Singing In The Rain", or rocking out to Thriller in her crib. Sunny's interests quickly developed, although she wasn't truly bitten by the performance bug till witnessing one concert in particular...May 14, 2001...Green Day...no more words could suffice what she saw other than she knew that the only means for satisfaction in life would be(lets see how quickly you pick up) ...music. She started out playing in several high school garage bands...influenced by Incubus, Silver Chair, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Sublime. It was until her 16th year she met her first of many musical soulmates, Evan Mui. For a year and a half they called themselves The Pick Ups and composed and performed all along the local cafe circuit of south fl...their style being a mix of jazz, indie, acoustic pop, and even a little punk...About two years ago...Sunny decided to take the biggest risk of her life.  Before going any farther we must backtrack to how all of this has been made possible from each band, each show, each note, each crib rockin, are all in part caused by one particular muse of Sunny's, her mom. Not only has Sunny's mother passed her own love of music upon Sunny. She also dedicated the time, energy, and guts to make everything possible. When sunny took that huge risk...relocating to NYC it was Sunny's mother who knew success lay before her. So continueing on, just like the American Dream of sorts...the local football team loaded up a 24 ft truck, and off we were to make dreams come true. Now we come to the juicy part... Sunny finished recording her short length, "Big Savage" with esteemed producer David Coburn, and while the doors were still open, she was a current regular at CBGB's Lounge.
